“Ex Machina” – Apr 19th

Join the Boston Sunday Night Film Club this Sunday, Apr 19th at 5p for Ex Machina at the Coolidge Corner Theatre . Look for Sean wearing a nametag in the theatre lobby about 15 minutes before the film. As always, after the film we will descend on a local establishment for dinner/drinks/discussion.

Alex Garland, writer of 28 Days Later and Sunshine, makes his directorial debut with this stylish and cerebral thriller.

Caleb, a 26 year old coder at the world’s largest internet company, wins a competition to spend a week at a private mountain retreat belonging to Nathan, the reclusive CEO of the company.

But when Caleb arrives at the remote location he finds that he will have to participate in a strange and fascinating experiment in which he must interact with the world’s first true artificial intelligence, housed in the body of a beautiful robot girl.
