The Boston Sunday Night Film Club will not meet this Sunday, December 27th due to the holidays. We will return to our regular schedule on January 3rd, 2016.
On 10/25 the club will be joining
IFFBoston for the kickoff of their
Fall Focus! Â The Fall Focus is a mini-festival showing one movie a night for 5 nights at the Brattle. Â The film on 10/25 is Michael Moore’s
WHERE TO INVADE NEXT.
For more info or tickets, visit the
Fall Focus page (and I highly recommend buying your tickets in advance!)
Due to a lack of available hosts, the Boston Sunday Night Film Club will be taking this Sunday, March 1st off.  We should be able to return to our regular schedule next week (weather permitting, of course).
As is customary, the Boston Sunday Night Film Club will be taking this Sunday, January 22nd off, so members can watch the Academy Awards.
Due to the threat of more Blizzard-like/Blizzard conditions Saturday into Sunday and the likelyhood that transit and parking will be on a limited-at-best basis, the Boston Sunday Night Film Club is going to take this week off.
In case you were wondering, the club is taking this week off… Sorry for the late notice… :)
We are taking this Sunday, November 30th off to observe the Thanksgiving Holiday.
See you next week, and have a great holiday!
The Boston Sunday Night Film Club will not be meeting this Sunday, July 6th in observance of Independence Day. Â We will return on July 13th.
Have a great holiday!
The Independent Film Festival of Boston starts this coming Wednesday, 4/23 at the Somerville Theater and quickly spreads to the Brattle, Coolidge and UMass Boston.
I (Sean) highly recommend you see as many movies as you can during the festival…  It is rare that a film festival of this quality and size is still so accessible by the average movie fan as opposed to industry insiders.  I wrote this blog post a few years ago (and have updated it since) about my tips on best enjoying IFFBoston.
The SNFC always chooses on of the Sunday screenings during the festival as its film, and this year is no exception. This year we will be seeing FORT TILDEN at the Somerville Theatre.  It is highly recommended that you purchase tickets in advance as the festival can get quite popular.
There will be no SNFC meeting this Sunday, March 2nd as we take a week off for the Oscar Broadcast. Â We will return to our regular schedule the following week on Sunday, March 9th.
